Scissor Lift Reaches Higher
Marcotte Mining has completed development
of an ultra-high scissor lift that the
company said exceeds standard underground
capabilities. Designed to provide
a safe work platform for installation of
services in tunnel headings,
the UHL6000 ultra
high lift carrier reaches
heights up to 20 ft (6
m). Marcotte said the
unit was designed in response
to a client’s special
request. From initial
consultation, to design,
build and delivery, the
entire process took only
10 weeks. Special safety
features incorporated into
the UHL6000 include
outrigger jacks for added
stability, an enhanced fire
suppression system, side
shift feature deck, and
refined vertical and horizontal
capabilities.
