Impact Wrench Designed for Mine Duty
Chicago Pneumatic’s new CP6748EX,
ATEX certified and IP6-rated industrial
duty ½-in. impact wrench is designed to
provide a higher level of protection against
accidental ignition of flammable gasses
and dust in both above and below ground
environments. With an ultimate torque of
800 ft-lb [1,085 Nm] and 1,200 blows
per minute, the CP6748EX is claimed to
meet or exceed industrial or heavy maintenance
operations’ needs in mining and
minerals processing applications. Durability
is maximized by its steel clutch housing
and motor components that are fabricated
from high-quality plain steel. Other
features include reversible end plates and
the use of an oil bath twin hammer clutch
mechanism, which provides constant
lubrication and helps reduce tool vibration.
The CP6748EX also offers an easyto-
use and glove-friendly forward/reverse
switch and power regulator, friction ring
retainer for rapid socket change, balanced
grip and progressive trigger.
