System Warns of Pump Diaphragm Leaks
All-Flo Pump’s All-Safe DRM (Diaphragm
Rupture Management) product is now
available globally, designed to alert pump
operators in the event of a diaphragm
rupture. The enclosed system provides
two layers of protection: An early warning
sensor, installed between the PTFE over-lay and the backup diaphragm, detects a
leak if the PTFE overlay becomes com-promised. The sensor alerts pump opera-tors of the leak before the backup
diaphragm is compromised and haz-ardous fluid enters the air section. A sec-ond, critical leak detection sensor is
installed in the air section itself. Should
both diaphragms become compromised,
this sensor will detect fluid in the air sec-tion. Both the early warning and critical
sensors can be configured to take a vari-ety of actions should a leak be detected,
such as turning on a warning light,
sounding an audible alarm or triggering
pump shut-off. The All-Safe DRM is pow-ered by 120 VAC. The signal cord is
available in 5-, 10-, 15- or 20-ft (1.5- to
6.1-m) lengths.
