Geocell Material Excels at Soft Soil Stabilization
Strata Systems has added Neoweb to its
lineup of soil reinforcement and composite
geosynthetic products. Neoweb is a honeycombed,
cellular confinement system
(geocell) that when filled with soil, stabilizes
soft soils, reinforces pavement structures
and provides a durable reinforcement
solution. Applications range from paved
and unpaved roads and railways to slope
reinforcement, and from earth stabilization,
channel erosion protection and retention
projects to landfills and reservoirs.
Neoweb is particularly suitable for roadway
projects built on weak soils in which load
capacity, aggregates, durability and cost
containment are critical. According to the
supplier, it is proven to reduce infill quantities
by up to 50%, utilizing inferior local
fill materials or recycled material, saving
project time, labor and costs while reducing
the projects’ carbon footprint. Neoweb
meets ISO 9001:2000, CE and other
international quality standards for materials,
workmanship, and all manufacturing
processes. It can be easily customized to
the specific project and application. Cell
heights range from 3 to 8 in. and sections
are tri-folded, shrink-wrapped and palletized
for shipment.
