Foam Sealant has New Formula and Packaging


Touch-n-Seal is offering an improved version of its rib and roof air ventilation control foam sealant. The proprietary, nonstrength- enhancing sealant is a two-part polyurethane expanding foam system that provides an air/moisture barrier which, after application, isolates a coal seam from air movement that can cause scaling and general spalling of coal off the ribs and roof in underground mines. An improved formulation and spray foam applicator, along with new carton graphics, now make the product easier to use than ever before. The system’s enhanced P2 spray foam applicator features a reusable applicator: after use the operator simply removes the mixing nozzle, wipes off the O-ring with cloth or paper, and applies petroleum jelly for longterm storage. Additionally, the improved barrel O-ring prevents nozzle leaks, while the trigger features a safety lock to prevent accidental discharge. For optimum performance, the product now works at lower temperatures due to an improved formulation. The system is fully self-contained in convenient, easy-to-use kits, which are easy to carry to the work site, minimize waste and are easily disposed of.
