Caterpillar Offers Options for Machine Control and Guidance Systems Repair

Caterpillar now offers new repair or replacement options for machine control and guidance
equipment used in its Aquila, CAES MineStar and AccuGrade systems.
Caterpillar says it now offers new repair options—repairing components or using remanufactured ones—to keep its machine control and guidance systems up and running.

Caterpillar will now sell remanufactured components off the shelf; these items are warranted and are about half the price of new, according to the company. Additionally, Caterpillar’s Machine Control and Guidance Repair Center has expanded its capabilities and now offers warranted repairs of displays, radios, GPS receivers, laser products, antennas and blasthole drill system components. These two new repair options are available for the Aquila Drill and Dragline Systems, Computer Aided Earthmoving System (CAES), MineStar System and AccuGrade Grade Control System.

Cat says its reman machine control and guidance components incorporate all critical engineering updates as they are factory- remanufactured using genuine Caterpillar parts. Each remanufactured component is tested extensively to ensure sameas- new performance, and each comes with a same-as-new, one-year warranty.

For repairs, factory-trained technicians at the Repair Center use test systems to replicate real-world applications for accurate diagnosis of each problem and preparation of repair estimates. Components are repaired to Caterpillar quality standards and are tested to ensure they meet those standards. Each repaired component has a 90-day parts and labor warranty.
