Godwin High-Head and Submersible Pumps

Godwin HL110M Dri-Prime pump.
Godwin Pumps displayed the single stage HL110M Dri-Prime pump, capable of handling heads to 615 ft. The 4- x 3-in. unit can pump up to 500 gpm and passes solids up to 3/4 in. in diameter. With a working pressure of 276 psi and 87 psi of suction pressure, Godwin touts the HL110M pump as ideal for mine and quarry dewatering, high pressure water supply for sand and aggregate washing, tunnel shaft dewatering, and temporary fire systems. Like all Godwin Dri-Prime pumps, the HL110M automatically primes from dry to 28 ft of suction lift. The pump will also run dry indefinitely without damage during intermittent flows due to a high pressure, oil bath, double mechanical seal designed with solid silicon carbide faces.

Also exhibited by Godwin was a new 12-in. (300-mm) Heidra hydraulic submersible pump. The HS300, capable of flow rates to 6,000 gpm (1,360 m3/h) and heads to 200 ft (61 m), is a self-contained, hydraulic powered submersible pump with a diesel-driven hydraulic power unit. It is a cast iron pump with cast chromium steel impeller designed for general pumping with solids handling up to 3- 3/4 in. (95 mm) in diameter, ideal for applications with more than 28 ft (8.5 m) of suction lift. Its integrated steel cage on the pumpend protects the pump while submersed, provides a lifting bail for easy transfer and provides an anchor spot for the hydraulic fittings. A double mechanical seal is immersed in isolated oil bath for unlimited dry running capability. A standard Godwin PrimeGuard controller provides programmable operations including setting maintenance timers. A safety shutdown system incorporated into engine controls prevents equipment damage from engine fault or failure, while the integral 200 gallon (757 l) fuel tank capacity provides more than 24 hours of continuous operation.
