Shovel Dipper Offers Performance Improvements
VR Steel says its new rope shovel dipper
offers an improved alternative to conventional
products on the market. Major
design features of the VR dipper include:
A dual latching system that reduces maintenance
and operating costs per ton; an
overall optimized trapezoidal shape that
enhances the dipper’s filling capacity and
increases the shovel’s tonnage per hour
yield; and the integration of EPOCH
hydraulic door snubbers which eliminate
impact stresses. VR Steel has also
increased the size of the dipper, improving
its overall performance without
exceeding machine design specifications.
The general shape also betters
performance in sticky material. According
to the company, the VR dipper can be custom designed to meet the specific
requirements of each mine, and can be
adapted to any make or model of
machine.
