Liebherr Extends Mining Support Network
Underpinning the ongoing network development, the core mining support center at the main manufacturing plant in Colmar, France, has been upgraded in recent years. It can store 80,000 line items in a 16,000-m2 space and processes about 1,000 orders per working day. Parts are delivered either to Liebherr regional and branch facilities or directly to the end-user on a 24/7/365 basis. They may be packed individually or containerized and can be shipped by road truck, ship or aircraft on a standard or express basis according to need.
The new center is in Kemerovo in south western Siberia, Russia, and has been established to support 10 coal mines in the area operating a large population of Liebherr machines, including not only hydraulic excavators but also wheel loaders and dozers. The center is linked to the Liebherr Kuzbass After-Sales Service Center. Liebherr said it regards expansion of the worldwide customer support structure in line with machine population growth as a continuous and essential process.
