Mine-Duty Steam Cleaner
Sioux Corp., a manufacturer of all-electric
pressure washers and steam cleaners, has
introduced the Model EN-290-H8-3000
for mines, which includes a heavy-duty
frame with bumpers to guard the machine
in tight spaces and a cover to protect it from
falling debris. The pressure washer features
dual water filters to extend the life of each
individual filter. A clutch increases the life
of the machine by allowing the pump to idle
while the gun is not in use, and 300°F
steam option is available. Specifications for
the machine include: 290 gph at 3,000
psi, 170°F steam based on 60°F inlet water
temperature; 480-volt/three-phase/60 Hz,
115-A operating current; a 10-hp, TEFC,
1,750-rpm motor with 1.15 service factor;
76-kW heating element; and a 3/8-in. x 50-
ft wire-braid hose.
