Stable Water Wagon Uses ADT Components
John Deere's new 300D water wagon features
a low center of gravity due to its
long, low tank and an extended truck
frame. According to the manufacturer,
the unit’s six-wheel-drive Deere power
train delivers excellent traction, gradeability
and fuel efficiency; a standard
transmission retarder extends brake life.
The 300D also is easier to transport
since it is shorter than scraper-towed
machines. The 300D is equipped with a
7,000-gallon pin-in tank and a Tier 3 certified
John Deere PowerTech Plus turbocharged
diesel rated at 285 net hp.
The truck’s operating weight is 49,100
lb. A water cannon, hose reel and side
spray are among many options available.
John Deere is partnering with Mega
Corp., a leading supplier of off-highway
water tanker conversions, to produce the
new water wagon.
