Modular Beds for Conveyor Protection

ASGCO Manufacturing’s modular impact beds, the newest in their line of load zone support systems, are designed to provide impact protection for conveyor belts as well as a tool to help control spillage in the conveyor-loading zone. The system consists of multiple 18-in.- long x belt-width units that are closely fitted to form the bed length needed. The supplier says its impact bars allow the tightest segment fit in the industry, eliminating potential material from getting caught in between the bars. They are designed for easy change out and maintenance by simply loosening two bolts per segment to remove the center portion of the bed from either side of the conveyor. Installation is a simple process that involves: bolting the cross-frame into conveyor sliding the center section into center of cross-frame; sliding two wing frames into each side; and bolting or pinning in place. ASGCO provides super absorbent ORG rubber that is 1-in. thick with a 40 durometer rating. All impact beds have two 3-in. channel cross support members for superior resistance against impact. Multiple 18-in. beds can be assembled to make 36-, 54-, 72-in. and larger units. Wings are fabricated to match any troughing angle. The beds are also available with steel or impact rolls as an option or with a center module fabricated to include rollers.
